I always expect Easter to be busy on the bands.
And yet the facts don't hold this to be true.
I've looked back at my logs over the last 5 years and it has always been quiet!
Maybe it goes back to my old Medium Wave days........Easter WAS always busy then,and on FM too.But Short Wave?No,never busy at Easter.But often throws up a surprise or two.
This Easter was no different.Quiet,but with a few surprises.
CWR were busy all over the place.Nice to hear them back.
I could actually hear LHH............sometimes quite well........I hope this is a trend.
Skyline were good on Saturday night,with a good signal and some even better music.
Is it just me or does his voice sound just a little bit like Major Tom?
PBI have great taste in music don't they?They play loads of different styles of music and do them all well!
Jackie Frost continues to expand her horizons......great shows as usual,but she can now add PBI to Merlin,MAR & Xanadu as stations she has done shows for.
Orion Radio running low power?Sounded pretty good to me!In fact the power loss made little difference.As is often the case.
I'm sure Radio Alfa Lima,Radio Scotland and Radio Borderhunter have all tried "The power tests".And in each case it was surprising how little a difference the increase in power made.
Bluestar Radio were pretty good on 6200 and with some great music too!
But the big surprise for me this weekend was...............Radio Saxonia!!
What a signal!
Be honest guys............did you do it yourselves or did Orion help you?
Either way,it was the first time I could hear Saxonia well and,(Is it Augustus?),they have a very good presenter and did a really entertaining show.
