I got up late on both days so missed any early activity.
New Year's Eve.
The now regular union of The Voice of the Netherlands and Radio East Coast Holland was on again this year with a really nice mixture of music and a signal that got stronger as the day went on.
Nice to hear Radio Borderhunter playing some songs of his youth,my youth too!
Very strong signal but with long complete fade outs and then suddenly returning very strong again.
Radio Monte Carlo with a good solid signal and pleasant music.

Got up too late to catch much of Orion Radio's broadcast,sorry John!
He made me feel even more guilty when he said he'd been on since 0800
Nice strong and solid signal again.
Weak signal from WMR was only heard briefly before they faded right out.
When I tuned into 3930 I just thought,"Oh Bogusman is on then".But as I listened I began to wonder if this was maybe a spoof.A Bogus Bogusman if you want.(Bogus means fake or not real).
I had not heard any ID and although the accent of the presenter was the same,the voice sounded different.More than that,the subject matter of his chats were more serious than normal and even the music did not sound like typical Bogusman.
Then I started to doubt myself,thinking maybe too much beer the last week was affecting my judgement
Until I read some other logs that evening and people were logging this as "The Ghoul".
I checked with a couple of knowledgeable listeners and they confirmed to me that I was not going mad and that this was a slightly different Bogusman transmission.
So I can still drink beer then.........
It got me thinking.Looking back through my old logs,The Bogusman(Or The Ghoul) has been on the air every New Year's Day for the last 5 years.2006 to 2010.
Who else has been on every year?
I'm not sure Orion Radio did 2006,but probably the rest.
Mystery?
