I am sure most of you have been to this type of party,maybe over Christmas.Or maybe it was even at a party you held!One or maybe two of the largest rooms in the house have been chosen to be where the party will be held.
All the food and drink is nicely laid out in this room,all the most comfortable chairs,music too.And there is SPACE.
Maybe even space to dance!
And what happens?One crowd of people can always be found crowded into the kitchen!!
Why?I have never understood the point of it.
Just like 6300 to 6315Khz!!
Why?When there is more space elsewhere do some people still insist on squeezing themselves into the kitchen of the 48 metre band?
As a consequence there is always a load of noise and hets up there.Yes,the strongest ones get through but they are not immune from interference.I heard VOTN,Boomerang and Mazda OK.But only because they have very powerful signals.There were several other stations in there but all lost in the noise.A shame and a waste.
Luckily,most stations continue to find other frequencies,5Mhz and 7Mhz seem to be getting busier.
But also some good spots on 6Mhz too,quite a few stations dong OK up around 6.4Mhz and even above.
Having said that FRS Holland were weak with me,luckily they had a nice clear frequency or I wouldn't have heard them at all!!
Orion still plugging away with a good signal.Mic sounded much better too.
Scotland got his webcam going again and another good signal.
Free Radio Victoria with another nice show.His signal gets stronger with me late morning.
VOTN very strong and with very nice mod.Hope this is the TX he will use on SW for New Year.
Boomerang just as strong and with equally nice mod.
Northpole had a pretty good signal.
Good signal from Dutchwing and free of interference up there on 6385!
Was it Delta on 6400?Who was on 6415?
Marconi was strong on 6425.

Don't know why, I remember te early years; the Dutch almost live in the kitchen, and the livingroom was only for the Sunday.
I guess most are in Iann chatroom, but not all, and often the 48mb seems to be empty here.
Now the 52mb got more users I am already looking for other qrg.
