Thanks for restarting this thread, John!
And thanks for the link! Lots of interesting songs there. I'll have a listen to them!
The Dutch have many pirate songs (the people in the east of the Netherlands seem to have a DIY attitude to both radio and music – which is great!)
I mentioned one in my latest log: Oompie Koerier’s ‘Ze moeten mij hangen’

Another great pirate country is (or was) France. They probably have a few pirate songs. I’ve found one: Le Grand Orchestre du Splendid’s ‘Radio Pirate’ (those who know how to search for mp3s will no doubt find it on the Internet).
The French of course also have ‘La dance des pirates’ from ‘Les mondes engloutis’

And Russia’s ‘radio hooligans’ have Yuriy Vostrov’s ‘Посвящение Радиохулиганам – 60-70х’ (To the radio hooligans of the 60s and 70s’):

I wonder if there is pirate music in other pirate countries as well (Germany, Italy, Greece, Serbia ...). (I think I’ve heard a few songs from the UK...)
