CLOSING DOWN of R Spaceshuttle International

Post by Guest »

Hello,

Radio Spaceshuttle International (RSI) had broadcasted the LAST programme on Saturday, 7th May. Finnish pirate RSI had signed-off a radio transmitter FOREVER. DJ Dick Spacewalker, the operator of RSI, didn't explain on air a reason of such decission, but his voice sounded sadly.
Radio Spaceshuttle Int liked to try the various bands of the shortwaves- test transmissions were from 16 to 76 meterbands.
DJ said in programme that the station received over 200 reception reports from the listeners in many countries. The words of DJ from the air: "Thanks for all listeners !"
He repeated several times: "we are closing down but, please to listen to other pirate stations on the air"
The last programme had closed with a national anthem of Finland.

RSI on 7th May (Saturday) - heard in Lithuania:

9460 -kHz, 0750 - 0928* UTC Finnish music, EE 242
13870 kHz, 0930 - 1105* UTC (the End) Finnish music, station's story, greetings to all listeners, E 343

Robertas
All the best to you, DJ Spacewalker ! Thanks for your many programmes and experiments on shortwaves !
