Seems like conditions were a bit "Short Skip" today as the Dutch stations were a little weaker than normal here
and UK stations were coming in better than normal.

Radio Alice decided to close down on Friday evening so that he could listen to Skyline.
I enjoy Skyline as well.But I like Alice too!
It's worth pointing out that Skyline was already on the air before Alice closed and Alice had the better signal.
But Skyline were stronger later.Good show's from both stations.

As I said,the UK stations were all coming in better than normal here and it was nice to be able to enjoy the programmes
from all of them.The Ghoul is very similar to The Bogusman in the sense that he plays Indie Rock with a lot of chat.
But I think his chat has some stronger views and maybe a little less humour than the Bogusman.
Lovely nostalgia from Telstar as allways.As I have said before,I have really warmed to this station recently.Very good.
Nice to here Underground with a good signal too.Steve always makes an interesting programme with little snippets of
news,info and comments.I laughed when he said he had to close down soon so that he could get to the supermarket
before it shut at 4pm so that he could "Get some beers in"!
He also mentioned that he heard a very powerful Dutch Pirate on MW on Saturday evening but didn't ID it.
I heard it too,it was Calypso Steve.

Borderhunter played a recording today of himself in QSO with the American Pirate station Undercover Radio on Saturday
afternoon.It was very interesting.I have to admit this was the first I had heard of this QSO.What frequency was it on?
Is this a first?I have heard Barones in NL talking to a Croatian Pirate on MW but has there ever been a QSO between a
European and an American Pirate before?

Has anyone got any news on how the "DX to Japan" thing went?

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your posting.
The QSO between Borderhunter and Undercover was not the first pirate to pirate qso between Europe and the USA.
Black Arrow did this years ago and had a QSO with Channel Z. It was also in the 19 meter band , just were I had the QSO with Undercover radio last saterday afternoon. The HF test "Japan weekend" was succesful for the most stations and also for the listeners in that direction.

Now I remember that Live Wire from the UK maked more QSO's in the past with USA pirate stations. But ist still something special.
