Conditions continue to be better at night than in the morning or afternoon on 48.
But that didn't stop the Pirates today!!
Plenty of stations on but unless they were running a fair bit of power they were weak.
In the evening things even up a bit.Low power stations can have very strong signals but
high power stations can be very strong at night too of course.
All in all a good weekend with signals changing all the time,so as usual,with some stations,
I have posted more than one log to show the changes.

Who was on 6300Khz on Saturday night playing that excellent music with a nice,huge signal?

Tonight huge signals from Alice & Merlin.Showing how careful you have to be to pick a good frequency
at night.Alice is spot on with a nice clear frequency on 6310.Merlin was good on 6305 but interference
came later,by which time he was on 6285 too........nice & clear!

Thanks for your log. Its always good to play with time and search to a clear channel. At the right moment and with a clear channel can a low power station make the same signal then a powerstation. Just take some time to find out whats the best moments are. It has no effect to fire up a transmitter when propagation is gone, or when the noise level is to high.
This is never at the same moments. It can even change by hour. But thats also short wave, always differant and therefore always intresting.

On 15-05-2011 between 8.10-8.15u 6325khz was a transmission from radio northpole.
With only instrumental music and testing a new antenna.
