LOG : 23 - 29 JULY 2012

Post by Ray Lalleu »

  • Hello

Some words about my weak-strong indications: they are not really based on a S-meter, rather on a signal to noise judged by ear. I have no S-meter in the amateur way, but a 10 segments meter that jumps quite quickly with the weak signals, is not independant of antenna choice, and never gives the S alone, only the S+N, and don't know well about the high or low modulation.

Event of the week : much to listen on 76m on Friday night. Is it the reponse to the ADX threat to complain to the authorities about pirates on 3905 and 4890 kHz. BTW, if the ADX is so powerful, could they complain about the PLC networks and get rid of them at the European level ?

OK, Federer, I know that, and often hear Lightning Radio, on 7600,1 kHz,
but always quite weak, with nonstop (and unknown) music, and sometimes an almost stealth ID (only rarely "copy"). So I can't really ID the station, and up to now I never had any details for a report !

But last week, I heard two other stations around 7600 kHz, and as you see in my log, they were not on 7600,1 Khz, but somewhat higher or lower. Also the signal strength was better.

Still hope someone has a good ID for those stations.

Yes, the better thing is that it seems that in the last weeks some new stations are appearing on the bands. :)
