Mike James

It's not quite yet 0000 yet, but it is Mike James now. Jack was on a bit earlier. I think conditions have really gone down now, plus the storms are 'a coming.

"Rocking in the Free World" at 0000 UTC.

European Free Radio Report for week ending April 8, 2007

Continued good long skip conditions this weekend to the USA, although noise levels were also a bit high. WMR made it over again in the evening, as did WNKR with only 10 watts. A nice Easter present was hearing two new Dutch stations, Extreme Radio and MRF Radio. Thanks to all these stations for havi...

WMR & WNKR

Hearing WMR on 6400.1 kHz at 2135 UTC with a show from Mike. He's playing some radio station audio clips at the moment. Earlier I heard T-Rex with "20th Century Boy". SINPO 23232 in New York. The band is noisier than last night. Also, have WNKR's carrier on 5825, probably will break into a...

Finn Hits Radio 6273

Hearing FHR on a web receiver in the UK at 2107. ID, then "48 Crash". SINPO 32222.

Mailing address given at 2110, frequency is closer to 6273.3 kHz. It's hard to zero beat a web radio.

Still Hearing It!

Heard a "Venus in Furs" at 2332m then I think a new program started up around 2337, with the WNKR instrumental theme, then into "White Room" by Cream. Signal and audio a bit stronger, but unfortunately so is the noise. Occasional chatter and ute QRM.

European Free Radio Report for week ending April 1, 2007

Very good long skip conditions on Saturday evening, and probably the first time I've heard multiple stations on 76 meters. Best ever reception of WMR also. PIRATE (Europe-UK). 3904.12, The Bogusman, 2246-2315 Mar 31, Thanks to a tip on MSN Messenger, could hear a fast-paced song at tune-in, then a v...

Too much QRM

It's not worth it for you to switch. There is just too much ARO QRM here, it is getting dark. 76 meters is very hard to hear over here.
