I was going to write and say it is good to hear you.

At 0940 BRI coming in fine talking about station's birthday etc, playing Bob Dylan record and then signal faded out and now I can hear nothing on 6254.

It's very annoying. Hopefully your signal will fade back in again!

If you then add in the various utility stations - some of which are also very strong - which knock out more frequencies - it is difficult to find clear channels.

No wonder many pirate stations tend to go the same frequencies, ie. 6275, 6305, 6310 etc.

If it was from the west coast of Ireland it was probably Premier Radio International. Although he normally uses 6265, I have logged him on 6325 in the past.

Premier is the only active Irish shortwave station at the moment since Jolly Roger Radio stopped broadcasting.

Might have been Radio Merlin which often uses 6280, and might have been testing their transmitter.

It was not all bad news...you got 45444 for Likedeeler on 3930. I heard a station at that time on 3930 but it was so weak I couldn't tell what it was. It must have been short skip on 75m. Your unid on 3910 on Saturday was Radio Pandora from the UK. I know what you mean about Mystery Radio's music .....

I'm hearing you on both frequencies....

At 1420, 6280 the best here in southern England with S9 - SINPO 44444.

6300 is about S8 - SINPO 34433.

Good to hear you again

Thanks Andy.

So it looks like it might not have been an American pirate but a European one.

Maybe it was Spider Radio!

Just looked at Achim's blog - it appears it was not RMRC as the wrong station was aired. More details at: http://www.achimbrueckner.de/freeradio/ ... ss/?p=6269
