Just back from Syros Island and there seemed to be even more Greek MW pirates than ever, some playing non stop music, some QSOing, and some just talking. I heard one mention that he was from Thessaloniki (from my limited Greek!). They are usually audible from dusk right into the night but I could he...

Geronimo heard in Greece
Hi all, just back from my hols on the Greek island of Syros. Last Sunday, Geronimo SW did a test during the evening on 7600kHz, which I managed to receive on Syros using just a portable Sony world band radio and rod antenna. SINPO varying between 22222 and 34333. Just thought it was worth a mention ...

Hi Andy. Thanks for the log and the comments. Much appreciated! Well the last track on my show was an instrumental by Jan Akkerman (of Focus fame) but I think our engineer Chris did then play some extra tracks direct from the tx site so not entirely sure of the answer to your question. Back soon wit...

Hello FRS-Holland Friends, Already some time ago we informed you about the upcoming FRS 30 Years celebrations. Great stuff Andy. Not sure if Geronimo counts as a UK station but I guess some of the programmes are produced there so it probably does LOL! Conditions still generally poor in my neck of the woods although they do seem better after dark, with Spaceman and Magic AM both putting in good signals late l...

Thanks Andy for the Geronimo log. There was a later transmission on 5825 which came in better here, although still struggling against the variable conditions and high band noise. Brigitte, Altrex and Sonic all put in a fairly decent signal here, but apart from that a pretty terrible day on SW. Geron...
